For 45 years, Classic Furniture has run a design-and-build model that keeps every landed renovation in-house from start to finish. We handle every type of landed property renovation in Singapore, from A&A interior refresh through to reconstruction and full rebuild. Our Eunos workshop runs the carpentry, while our Macpherson showroom anchors the design conversation.
A dedicated designer carries each project from consultation through to handover. That means cleaner timelines, consistent quality control, and no middleman cost on the work itself. Over 45,000 Singapore homes have been completed this way.

Why Choose Classic Furniture for Your Landed Renovation

Four things distinguish how we run landed house renovations in Singapore.
Design and Build Under One Roof
Most landed renovation contractors outsource carpentry, and most ID firms hire builders. We do both in-house, with one dedicated designer, a one-year warranty for custom furniture and no coordination breakdowns between trades. Explore our in-house design + build integration for a breakdown of the full model.
In-House Carpentry Workshop, Established 1980
Our Eunos workshop is a Classic Furniture facility, not a workshop partner. Custom cabinetry, structural carpentry, and built-ins are fabricated by our own team to one standard. Find out more about our in-house carpentry excellence and workshop angle.
Full Scope Capability, A&A Through Full Rebuild
Our scope spans A&A interior refresh, reconstruction with an added storey, and full demolition and rebuild. The same team handles each one. We help you choose the right scope rather than fitting your home to our limits.
Transparent Pricing and 45,000+ Completed Projects
Across 45 years, more than 45,000 Singapore homes have been completed by our team. Cost ranges sit out openly at consultation, contingency is built into planning, and the portfolio shows real before-and-after work. You can view our landed renovation portfolio for completed projects.

Landed Renovation Scope: A&A, Reconstruction & Full Rebuild

Landed renovation scopes split into three categories. Each comes with a different cost, timeline, and regulatory weight.
Additions and Alterations (A&A)
A&A keeps more than 50% of the existing structure. Scope covers interior reconfiguration, wall hacking, mezzanines, finish replacements, and systems upgrades, with no added storey.
Typical cost runs from S$200,000 to S$400,000, with a usual timeline of 8 to 14 weeks.
Reconstruction
Reconstruction replaces more than 50% of the structure. Scope covers structural reconfiguration, adding a storey, foundation work, and party wall handling.
Typical cost runs from S$500,000 to S$1.5 million, with a usual timeline of 16 to 24 weeks.
Full Rebuild (New Erection)
Full rebuild demolishes the existing structure and constructs a new home from the ground up.
Typical cost runs from S$1.5 million to S$3 million or more, with a timeline of 24 to 36 weeks or longer.
Choosing Between A&A, Reconstruction, and Rebuild
- A&A suits interior-focused work where you want a faster timeline and lower cost, keeping the existing structure.
- Reconstruction fits if you need extra space or a new storey within the same footprint.
- Full rebuild is the path when the property is too old to repair and the budget allows for a from-scratch design.
We deliver all three landed renovation scopes with the same design and build model, one dedicated designer and same in-house carpentry quality. Find out more on how to understand A&A vs reconstruction scope and learn what reconstruction truly means.
Renovation Expertise by Property Type

Each landed property type carries its own constraints. We tailor our design and build approaches accordingly.
Terrace House Renovation
A terrace is compact but characterful. Narrow floor plates, party walls on both sides, and stacked layouts shape the work. Our terrace house renovation focuses on vertical storage, mezzanines, smart flow across floor and natural light.
Typical scope is A&A interior reconfiguration with carpentry upgrades, with a budget running from S$200,000 to S$400,000 and a usual timeline of 10 to 14 weeks.
Semi-Detached Renovation
A semi-detached home offers more freedom than a terrace. One shared party wall, dual facades, and a medium floor area shape the design. Our semi-detached renovation leverages facade flexibility for front or back extensions. Smart zoning places quiet rooms away from the party wall, with dual-entry potential opening up for multigenerational living.
Typical scope spans A&A to light reconstruction, with a budget running from S$300,000 to S$800,000 and a usual timeline of 12 to 18 weeks.
Bungalow Renovation
A bungalow offers scale, privacy and outdoor potential. Adding a storey, extending the alfresco area, and elevating finishes all sit within the brief. Our bungalow renovation focuses on whole-home integration, luxury finishes, and outdoor living treated as part of the house. Structural complexity tends to be higher, with foundation reinforcement and URA envelope control in play.
Typical scope spans reconstruction to full rebuild, with a budget running from S$800,000 to S$2 million or more and a usual timeline of 18 to 36 weeks.

Our Full-Scope Landed Renovation Process

A landed home renovation in Singapore moves through five stages with one team.
- Consultation: We discuss the project at our Macpherson showroom or over a call, walking through lifestyle, scope, budget, and the direction you’re working toward.
- Site Measurement: We visit the property to measure the space and assess structural conditions, existing systems and scope constraints. Party walls, setbacks and heritage status all come up at this step. From there, we make a scope recommendation and rough timeline.
- Design and 3D Concept: Our in-house designers draw the layout and render it in 3D so you can see the space rather than imagining it. We present multiple options and produce technical drawings. This process usually takes 3 to 4 weeks.
- In-House Build and Construction: Our carpenters and on-site crew execute the build, with regular updates and progress reports. Quality checkpoints sit at each phase, including structural, rough-in, and finishing. Timing is 8 to 24 weeks depending on scope.
- Final Inspection and Handover: A full walkthrough closes the punch list, systems are tested, and care guidance plus warranty documentation are handed over.

Structural Works & Custom Carpentry Excellence

Most renovation contractors outsource carpentry. We don’t. Here’s what that means in practice.
In-House Carpentry Workshop, Established 1980
Our Eunos workshop has been a Classic Furniture facility since 1980. Custom cabinetry, built-ins, structural carpentry and joinery are fabricated by our team. Quality control sits inside the firm rather than across vendors.
Structural Coordination
When the scope includes structural work, our carpentry team works directly with the structural engineer. The design drawn at the desk reaches the site as intended, without translation gaps between separate firms.
Custom Cabinetry During Renovation
Unlike firms that design kitchens and wardrobes then outsource fabrication, we design and build custom cabinetry in-house. Our built-ins fit the actual property, the installation slots into the renovation programme, and quality checkpoints stay inside our team.
Timeline Advantage
Outsourced carpentry adds coordination delays from supplier availability, communication gaps, and rework cycles. Running it in-house keeps the renovation on one team, one schedule, and one standard.
Warranty and Accountability
Every piece of custom furniture carries a one-year workmanship warranty. If something needs revisiting after handover, our after-sales team is on hand for support.
You can see our in-house carpentry gallery for examples, or read why custom carpentry matters in renovation for the underlying philosophy.
Renovation Budget Planning by Scope

Landed renovation costs vary widely depending on scope. The figures below are realistic ranges from our completed projects.
| Scope Type | Budget Range (SGD) | Typical Components | Notes |
| A&A, interior-focused | S$200,000 to S$400,000+ | Design, interior reconfiguration, carpentry upgrades, finishes, electrical and plumbing refresh, no structural work | Fast approval, 8 to 14 week timeline, suits terrace and semi-detached updates |
| Reconstruction, structural | S$500,000 to S$1.5 million+ | Design, structural work (walls, floors, party walls), foundation reinforcement if needed, full interior renovation, carpentry, finishes, regulatory submissions | 16 to 24 week timeline, adds storey or major reconfiguration |
| Full Rebuild (new erection) | S$1.5 million to S$3 million+ | Complete demolition, new structural design, foundation, all systems new, premium finishes, custom carpentry, outdoor integration, regulatory coordination | 24 to 36 week timeline or longer, full design freedom |
For more information regarding other property sizes, please reach out to our sales team. Terms and conditions apply.
Six factors shape where any landed renovation lands in these ranges:
- Scope type: A&A is the leanest scope, reconstruction sits in the middle, and full rebuild is the most involved.
- Structural complexity: Party walls, foundation work, and added storeys lift cost.
- Material specification: Premium laminates raise the figure above standard finishes.
- Finishes level: Smart home integration, automation, and custom lighting all add cost.
- Outdoor scope: Alfresco, decking, and landscaping features can add 15 to 25% to the cost.
- Property condition: Older homes carry hidden costs in systems and structure, which is why we plan contingency.
Our quotes cover design, construction, in-house carpentry, and project management. Finishes from flooring through cabinetry, electrical and plumbing upgrades, waste removal and site supervision all sit inside the figure. We also plan a 5 to 10% contingency buffer for unforeseen costs.
